Well, after 4 nights and 5 days of hunting hard in X-7B, I ended up taking this little dude on the last day of my hunt. I scouted hard, and looked at almost every inch of the zone. Ended up burning almost 2 tanks of diesel in my truck checking out the entire zone.
I ended up camping at Stampede, and pretty much enjoyed the whole campground to myself. I saw a few really good bucks, but could just never close the distance for a shot before dark. I have seen some absulute monsters in this zone, and I think the full moon played a huge role during my hunt. The deer were bedding down right at light. I saw a good 3x4 come out of the Boca Quarry area out behind the shooting areas, and I also heard of a few more good bucks being seen back in there. Awesome zone and area, with work, I just wish I had more time to hunt. I ended up taking this little guy on my last day up on top of Boca hill, not the monster I was after, but meat for the freezer. Terry, I have your hat for you.....
Hey, I talked to a couple of guys from the Bay Area that were fishing for the week and they were catching big mackinaw trolling deep around the dam area. They showed me a few of there fish and they were bruisers... Justin |

Yeah, Stampede is becoming a great Mackinaw lake. Wish it wasn't so as then their would be mroe browns.
